Baseball Game Preview: Saint Andrew's Scots vs. Jupiter Christian Eagles

The Saint Andrew's Scots will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Jupiter Christian Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Saint Andrew's is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Coral Springs Charter. The Scots walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Panthers on Tuesday.

Aaron Tralongo was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Bechtel, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, while Jupiter Christian put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Somerset Academy - Canyons. The Eagles blew past the Cougars 14-0.

Carter Scott tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Christiano Gerena was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. Jacob Mendez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Saint Andrew's beat Jupiter Christian 6-1 when the teams last played back in February of 2025. Do the Scots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
