It's playoff time, and Rocky Mountain had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Valor Christian Eagles on Saturday, sneaking past 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Lobos, who have now won ten matchups in a row.

Ross Frank made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Frank wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Bradley Mallette, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Rocky Mountain's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Valor Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-13.

As of now, neither Rocky Mountain nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
