Soccer Recap: Saltillo Comes Up Short

Saltillo was the 1-0 winner over Lake Cormorant when they last played one another back in December of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell just short of Lake Cormorant by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Saltillo have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Harry Weems and Cooper Bingham scored both of Saltillo's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 30 goals.

Saltillo now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Lake Cormorant, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Saltillo will face off against Tupelo Christian Prep at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Saltillo will be up against Tupelo Christian Prep's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.75 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lake Cormorant, they will square off against Center Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
