Buckeye had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Iowa Yellowjackets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-3 back in February.

Buckeye's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Iowa, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Buckeye wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 15-0 victory against Leesville on the 21st. As for Iowa, they will venture away from home to challenge Eunice at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Iowa will need to watch out since Eunice has now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
