Baseball Recap: Clermont Northeastern Triumphs

Clermont Northeastern took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Bethel-Tate, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rockets had just enough and edged out the Tigers 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rockets have posted since April 29, 2024.

Grant Carlier was excellent, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brady Schmidt, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Clermont Northeastern now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Bethel-Tate, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Clermont Northeastern is set to challenge their familiar foe East Clinton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Bethel-Tate will square off against rival Felicity-Franklin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
