Basketball Recap: Sema'j Law's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mobile Christian over Faith Academy

Mobile Christian was the 64-60 winner over Faith Academy when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Mobile Christian Leopards fell just short of the Faith Academy Rams by a score of 54-52 on Friday. The Leopards have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mobile Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sema'J Law, who posted 17 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Rico Prince, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds.

Even though they lost, Mobile Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive matchups.

Mobile Christian now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Faith Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Mobile Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-45 victory against Chickasaw on the 14th. As for Faith Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against LeFlore at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in LeFlore's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.
