Football Game Preview: Strawberry Crest Chargers vs. Blake Yellow Jackets + How To Watch

The Strawberry Crest Chargers will venture away from home to challenge the Blake Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Strawberry Crest will head out to face Blake after giving up their first home loss of the season on Friday. The Chargers lost to Sumner at home by a 30-14 margin. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Stingrays are ranked 54th).

Although Strawberry Crest took the loss, they still got scores from Sevin Bagnato and Hunter Hall.

Meanwhile, Blake had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They breezed past the Terriers to the tune of 63-24. The Yellow Jackets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Blake's win came from a few key players Strawberry Crest will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Elijah Newman Hall, who rushed for 145 yards and one TD while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making six total tackles (2.0 for loss). Eddie Mamudi was another key player, throwing for 211 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes.

Blake was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 235 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Blake didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ashton Goggins and Jadarian Collins. Collins got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Strawberry Crest's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Blake, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Things could have been worse for Strawberry Crest, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 28-14 loss to Blake in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Chargers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
