Basketball Recap: Cedar Park Snaps 12-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Cedar Park entered their match against Liberty Hill on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cedar Park Timberwolves were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to the Liberty Hill Panthers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Timberwolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-34 two weeks ago.

Cedar Park's loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 20-5. As for Liberty Hill, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 26-2.

Cedar Park and Liberty Hill should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Cedar Park (ranked 29th) will meet Hays (ranked 174th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Liberty Hill will face off against Leander at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 583 places (7 vs. 590).
