Villa Rica has gone a perfect 10-0 against Hiram recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wildcats will square off against the Hornets at 5:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Villa Rica is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering North Paulding just ended the team's nine-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Wolfpack.

Meanwhile, Hiram fell victim to Paulding County and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 8-0 to the Patriots. While losing is never fun, Hiram can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 433rd, while Paulding County are ranked 111th).

Villa Rica's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Hiram, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.

Villa Rica took their victory against Hiram in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
