 The Arrupe Jesuit Generals lost to the Platte Canyon Huskies  back in January of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. Arrupe Jesuit skirted past Platte Canyon  41-39.
 Leading Arrupe Jesuit to victory were  Xavier Martinez and  Bryan Astudillo-Pozos.  Martinez  scored 11 points along with five  rebounds and four  steals, while  Astudillo-Pozos  scored nine points along with seven  rebounds and three  steals. Martinez has been hot recently, having posted two or more  steals the last three times he's  played.  Josh Dimas was another key contributor,  scoring six points.
 When it comes to explaining why Platte Canyon lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Jack McMahen. Despite the final result, he  scored 12 points along with six  rebounds.
 Arrupe Jesuit's win  ended a three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 8-11. As for Platte Canyon, their defeat was  their fifth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 6-10.
 Arrupe Jesuit will play host again and welcome Middle Park, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Middle Park knows how to get  points on the board -- the  team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Arrupe Jesuit likes a good challenge. As for Platte Canyon, they will be playing at home against South Park at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Platte Canyon is facing South Park at the right time seeing as South Park is stuck on a eight-game losing streak.
