Northern came out on top against Great Mills on Friday thanks in part to Nick Barsczewski's efforts. Barsczewski didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Barsczewski and Northern will welcome St. Mary's Ryken at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Northern hasn't beaten St. Mary's Ryken recently, having gone 0-3 since March of 2015.
