Recap: Manistee Chippewas vs. Whitehall Vikings
The Manistee Chippewas lost against the Whitehall Vikings back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Manistee had to suffer through a rough 77-37 loss at the hands of Whitehall. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Manistee in their matchups with Whitehall: they've now lost four in a row.
It was another big night for Camden Thompson, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 20 rebounds for Whitehall. The game was Thompson's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Kal Koehler was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds.
Manistee has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Whitehall, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manistee will take on Shelby at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Shelby is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. Whitehall will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Hamtramck at 8:30 p.m. on December 20th. One thing working in Hamtramck's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
