Basketball Recap: Limon Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 15-15 at halftime, Limon was not quite Merino's equal in the second half on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 34-33 to the Merino Rams. The Badgers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Limon's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camdyn Tacha, who posted 12 points. Tacha continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Keagan Mellott, who earned nine points in addition to seven rebounds and six blocks.

Limon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Merino, their record now sits at 3-8.

Limon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-44 loss against Simla on the 28th. Merino has also already played their next match, a 48-42 defeat against Yuma on the 28th.
