Basketball Recap: Tarrant Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Altamont came into Wednesday's matchup looking for another win against Tarrant, but Zarriyah Carter wouldn't allow it. The Tarrant Wildcats had just enough and edged the Altamont Knights out 40-37 thanks in part to Carter, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in the last eight games she's played.

Tarrant's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9. As for Altamont, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Tarrant won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against McAdory at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Altamont, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Jefferson Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
