Volleyball Recap: Pike Central Takes a Loss

Pike Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Forest Park Rangers. If the Chargers were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Rangers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-17, 25-8.

Heidi Woodford paced Pike Central's offense, picking up seven kills. Woodford got some help from Braelyn Barnett and her nine assists. Keysha Padgett controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Pike Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Forest Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Pike Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Shoals on the 4th. As for Forest Park, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Paoli on the 4th.
