Basketball Recap: Columbia Takes a Loss

Columbia was the 56-45 winner over Clearview when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Columbia Raiders took a 60-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clearview Clippers on Friday.

Clearview got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cy Christensen out in front who went 6 of 13 on his way to 16 points and seven steals. That's the most steals Christensen has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeffery Ball, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 13 points in addition to five assists and four steals.

Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Clearview, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbia will head out to square off against Hillsdale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clearview, they will venture away from home to face off against Brooklyn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
