Hayward has gone 9-1 against Spooner recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Hayward Hurricanes will head out on the road to face off against the Spooner Rails at 7:00 p.m. Spooner took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Hayward, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Hayward was fully in charge, breezing past Ashland 64-16. That 48 point margin sets a new team best for the Hurricanes this season.

Meanwhile, Spooner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by Northwestern 61-31. While losing is never fun, the Rails can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 415th, while the Tigers are ranked 177th).

Spooner's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Hayward, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Hayward strolled past Spooner in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 30-11. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hayward since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
