Basketball Recap: Highland Tech Comes Up Short

Highland Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Palisades Pumas, falling 55-27.

Palisades' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Estelle Macho, who went 6 for 15 on her way to 15 points and four steals. Tynilla Simpkins was another key player, putting up 14 points and seven boards.

Highland Tech now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Palisades, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Highland Tech will venture away from home to challenge Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Palisades, they will host South Mecklenburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
