Basketball Recap: Thrasher Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Thrasher was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 63-46 fall against the Mantachie Mustangs. The Rebels were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Thrasher lost, don't look at Joseph Ostrander. Despite the final result, he shot 41% from the field en route to 24 points and five steals. Ostrander is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Ja'Kurious Taylor was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.

Thrasher's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mantachie, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thrasher will host Pine Grove at 7:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Mantachie, they will square off against Smithville at 7:15 p.m. on December 2. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Seminoles have now posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
