Soccer Game Preview: Harrison vs. Starr's Mill

The Harrison Hoyas will head out on the road to challenge the Starr's Mill Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Harrison comes in on 11 and Starr's Mill on five.

Harrison barely beat Hillgrove the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hoyas were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Hawks last Friday. Harrison might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by three goals or more this season.

They hit Hillgrove with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Abbey Hayberg, Sydney Snow, Caroline Shaw, and Maliah Moukarzel.

Meanwhile, Starr's Mill kept a clean sheet against Southeast Whitfield County on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Raiders 1-0.

Harrison pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those seven games. As for Starr's Mill, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

Harrison was able to grind out a solid win over Starr's Mill in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hoyas since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
