Basketball Recap: Cherry Creek Sets Scoring Season-High Against Columbine

Cherry Creek scored the most points they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against the Columbine Rebels, falling 79-55. The defeat leaves the Bruins still looking for their first win of the season.

Despite the loss, Cherry Creek saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Natalia Baal went 6-for-9 from beyond the arc on her way to 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Baal has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Addison Beck, who posted 12 points.

Cherry Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Columbine, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Looking ahead, Cherry Creek will be home for the holidays to greet Lakewood at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Columbine will take on Eaglecrest in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
