Shoals and Orleans are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2020, but not for long. The Jug Rox will square off against the Bulldogs at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Shoals is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against North Daviess as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Jug Rox have beaten the Cougars the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cougars has come to flipping the script.

Orleans hadn't beaten Borden on the road since October 8, 2015 but that history sure didn't bother them last Thursday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Braves.

Orleans was especially dominant in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 20-25, 25-21, 25-14.

Shoals better focus on containing Hayley Hess and Addison Russell as the pair were huge in Orleans' win. Hess had 15 digs and one assist, while Russell had 15 digs, ten kills, and four aces. Russell has been hot, having posted seven or more kills the last five times she's played.

Orleans was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Borden only served eight.

Shoals' record now sits at 23-4. As for Orleans, their record is now 17-10.
