Basketball Recap: Christian Heritage Academy Takes a Loss

Christian Heritage Academy won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 62-23 loss at the hands of the Christian Liberty Chargers. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-8.

Carson Acres and Charles Van Tuinen certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Acres posted 11 points, while Van Tuinen had nine points. That was a full 47.8% of Christian Heritage Academy's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Christian Heritage Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Christian Liberty, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Christian Heritage Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-42 loss against Beacon Academy on the 24th. As for Christian Liberty, they will face off against Families of Faith Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Christian Liberty is facing Families of Faith Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Families of Faith Christian Academy is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
