Softball Preview: Wawasee Warriors vs. Goshen RedHawks

The Wawasee Warriors will square off against the Goshen RedHawks at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Wawasee and Plymouth had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Warriors came up short against the Pilgrims/Rockies on Wednesday, falling 18-5.

Heatherlynn Holder was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and four runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Audra Weaver, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Goshen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 17-4 to Concord.

Goshen saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Diaz, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Goshen's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Wawasee, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
