Baseball Game Preview: MOT Charter Mustangs vs. Delcastle Technical Cougars

MOT Charter is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Delcastle Technical a ten-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Saturday. The MOT Charter Mustangs will look to defend their home field against the Delcastle Technical Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

MOT Charter came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-1 to Delmarva Christian.

MOT Charter saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Cobar, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Delcastle Technical's offense. They came up short against Mount Pleasant on Thursday, falling 24-0.

MOT Charter's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Delcastle Technical, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

MOT Charter's speedy runners might be the difference in Saturday's match. The Mustangs have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Delcastle Technical, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will MOT Charter continue to outrun the ball?

MOT Charter took their victory against Delcastle Technical in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-9 score. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
