Preview: Epiphany Falcons vs. East Carteret Mariners
The Epiphany Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the East Carteret Mariners at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Epiphany will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 395th, while East Carteret is ranked 124th).
Last Friday, Epiphany didn't have too much trouble with Liberty Christian Academy on the road as they won 38-24. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Epiphany.
Meanwhile, East Carteret came tearing into Friday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 38-24 victory over Havelock.
Epiphany's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6. As for East Carteret, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1.
