Basketball Recap: Brownsburg Sets Scoring Season-High Against Cascade

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brownsburg). They blew past the Cascade Cadets 70-50 on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Brownsburg had a senior duo take command as Devon Craig went 6 for 12 on his way to 18 points and seven rebounds and Jesiah Sloss posted 13 points and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Craig has scored all season. Branden Sharpe was another key player, putting up eight points.

Brownsburg smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in November of 2023.

Brownsburg has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Cascade, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brownsburg will face off against Fishers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Cascade, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Cloverdale at 7:30 p.m.
