Calhoun had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They strolled past the Wilcox Central Jaguars with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 89-75. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 66-54 loss the last time these two teams met.

Taylor Robertson was a one-man wrecking crew as he went 13-for-18 on his way to 31 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Javoris Gordon, who shot 80% from the field to rack up 19 points and three blocks.

Calhoun didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 81-67 defeat against Greenville on the 14th. As for Wilcox Central, they have also already played their next game, a 92-56 win against Central on the 11th.
