Baseball Recap: Winfield Takes a Loss

Winfield lost against Orchard Farm last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Warriors came up short against the Eagles, falling 8-2. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Timothy Emmons was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Warren Conrad was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Winfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Orchard Farm, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Winfield will welcome Fort Zumwalt South at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Orchard Farm, they will head out to challenge Brentwood at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
