Flag Football Recap: Woodrow Wilson Comes Up Short

Woodrow Wilson fell victim to Compton and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 40-0 loss at the hands of the Tarbabes. The defeat continues a trend for the Bruins in their meetings with the Tarbabes: they've now lost four in a row.

Woodrow Wilson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Alexis Mc Laurin and Sofia Pimentel.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Compton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Miah Gibson, who threw for 161 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.7% of her passes. The dominant performance also gave Gibson a new career-high in passer rating (138.4). Audrey Baker was another key receiver, picking up 88 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Woodrow Wilson's loss dropped their record down to 9-15-2. As for Compton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.

Woodrow Wilson has already played their next game (against Paramount), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Compton, they will square off against Lakewood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
