Calhoun won the last time they faced Northwest Whitfield and things went their way on Thursday too. The Yellow Jackets walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bruins. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Yellow Jackets.

Calhoun easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-17.

Leading Calhoun to victory were Cate Rutland and Addie Hite. Rutland had 17 assists and two aces, while Hite had eight assists and two aces. That's the most aces Rutland has posted since back in October of 2024. Karmen Morgan also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Calhoun's record now sits at 10-4. As for Northwest Whitfield, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-3.
