Volleyball Recap: Buena Vista Comes Up Short

Buena Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss. They came up short against the Cornerstone Christian School Cougars, falling 3-0.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Cornerstone Christian School scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-21, 25-17.

Ellie Dutcher paced Buena Vista's offense, picking up ten kills. Dutcher got some help from Lisette Esteban and her 26 assists. Eva Walton controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Buena Vista's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Cornerstone Christian School, the win got them back to even at 12-12.

Buena Vista wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Brownell Talbot on the 14th. As for Cornerstone Christian School, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Omaha Christian on the 16th.
