Softball Recap: Glenbard West Drops Season-High Score on Proviso West

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glenbard West). They never let the Proviso West Panthers get on the board and left with an 18-0 win on Friday. The Hilltoppers haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Olivia Salerno looked comfortable as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 16 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ainslie Bobroff was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two triples. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Megan Stieglitz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Glenbard West's record is now 15-4. As for Proviso West, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Glenbard West beat the Panthers by a score of 19-0 later that day.
