Volleyball Recap: Carbon Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ogden, Carbon was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Judge Memorial Catholic Bulldogs. The win continues a trend for the Dinos in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.

Carbon had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 10-25, 25-23, 32-30, 25-11.

Charles Tima paced Carbon's offense, picking up ten kills. Tima got some help from Connor Gleave and his 15 assists. Gleave was also solid from the service line: he led the team with six aces.

The victory got Carbon back to even at 1-1. As for Judge Memorial Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Carbon will challenge North Sanpete at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Judge Memorial Catholic, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Juab at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
