Basketball Recap: Elgin Takes a Loss

Elgin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 52-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Guymon Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-29 two weeks ago.

Elgin's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Guymon, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Elgin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 70-35 defeat against Carl Albert on the 14th. As for Guymon, they have also already played their next contest, a 65-50 victory against MacArthur on the 14th.
