West Mecklenburg scored the most points they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hopewell Titans. The Hawks just can't catch a break and have now endured 13 losses in a row.

Hopewell was led to victory by MOLLY HOWE and JUNE WALLACE. HOWE went 10 of 16 en route to 21 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds, while WALLACE dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 boards. Those five assists gave HOWE a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of KRISTYN TROUTMAN, who posted 12 points and five boards.

West Mecklenburg's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Hopewell, their win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-15.

While West Mecklenburg had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
