Valle Catholic extended the longest winning streak in Jefferson County this week by beating New Madrid County Central, 40-0. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Valle Catholic took down the Eagles 40-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
St. Vincent's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Trent Elder has thrown for 625 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Kevin Mattingly has 14 catches for 154 yards. Alex Winkler leads the league in rushing with 338 yards.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Warriors take on Herculaneum. Valle Catholic has allowed 80 points this season, while the Black Cats have given up 114. The Warriors allowed 0 points last week as they bested New Madrid County Central.
Valle Catholic made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,368 from 8,025. The advance stemmed from a 40-0 victory over Arlen Pixley's team last week.
