Baseball Recap: Jal Takes a Loss

Jal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a 13-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Texico Wolverines. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, with their most recent loss being a 18-5 defeat last Tuesday.

Jal got a massive performance out of Andre Rodriguez, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Fernando Sauceda, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Jal's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Texico, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-10.

While Jal had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
