Baseball Recap: Canyon Hills Takes a Loss

Canyon Hills suffered their closest loss since March 25, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Mission Bay Buccaneers by a score of 3-1. The Rattlers just can't catch a break and have now endured eight defeats in a row dating back to last season.

Canyon Hills saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Shoate, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. What's more, Shoate posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

Canyon Hills' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mission Bay, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Canyon Hills will be taking part in a tournament against Chula Vista at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mission Bay, they will take on Sweetwater in a tournament on Tuesday.
