Softball Recap: Hamilton Comes Up Short

Hamilton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 13-3 to the Gridley Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Braves of the 12-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Jordyn Rodgers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brieanna Day, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Hamilton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Gridley, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Hamilton has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Live Oak on the 27th. As for Gridley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 26-4 victory against Anderson on the 27th.
