Basketball Recap: Lofton Looney and Christopher Mulumbela Secure Win for Tri-Cities Christian

On Saturday, the Tri-Cities Christian Eagles made easy work of the Red Bank Lions and carried off a 59-37 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Leading Tri-Cities Christian to victory were Christopher Mulumbela and Lofton Looney. Mulumbela dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 boards, while Looney posted 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Looney's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Jordan Peters was another key player, putting up ten points and seven rebounds.

Tri-Cities Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Red Bank only racked up four assists.

When it comes to explaining why Red Bank lost, don't look at Jaylen Rice. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Drayden Collier, who put up eight points and four steals.

Tri-Cities Christian's record now sits at 16-11. As for Red Bank, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-4.

Tri-Cities Christian has already played their next contest, a 68-56 win against Daniel Boone on the 21st. As for Red Bank, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 72-67 loss against Walker Valley on the 21st.
