Basketball Recap: Cypress Woods Has No Trouble Against Waller

Cypress Woods won the last time they faced Waller and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cypress Woods Wildcats took down the Waller Bulldogs 51-33.

Cypress Woods had a senior duo take command as Jasmine Lee posted 15 points and Chayna Thomas put up ten points and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Thomas has scored all season. Kosi Igwebuike was another key player, putting up seven points and 12 rebounds.

Cypress Woods smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Waller lost, don't look at Trinity Prince. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Prince a new career-high in assists (two). Another player making a difference was Viviyan Hall, who scored six points.

Cypress Woods is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Waller, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.
