Basketball Recap: Shorecrest Prep Skates Past St. Petersburg Catholic with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shorecrest Prep). They blew past the St. Petersburg Catholic Barons, posting an 80-37 victory. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 25 points or more this season.

Nickolas Bearden continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 40 points. His afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Ahmad Crumity was another key player, posting 15 points.

The win (which was Shorecrest Prep's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.5 points. As for St. Petersburg Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Shorecrest Prep will challenge Calvary Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Petersburg Catholic, they will face off against Patel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
