Powell is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Halls is on a ten-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Panthers will welcome the Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Powell 3.5, Halls 1.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Monday, Powell needed a bit of extra time to put away Anderson County. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mavericks, sneaking past 8-7. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Mavericks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Powell let Nevaeh Wells and Lizzi Lowe run wild. Wells got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four RBI and one double, while Lowe scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances. Those four RBI gave Wells a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylan Heatherly, who scored a run while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.
Powell always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .521. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Anderson County only posted an OBP of .357.
Meanwhile, Halls gave up the first runs last Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on Karns with a sharp 9-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won 11 games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Emery Bales made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Halls got a massive performance out of Makaylie Hutchison, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Harper Bales was another key player, scoring two runs while going 4-for-5.
Powell's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Halls, their victory bumped their record up to 18-4-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Powell has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.5 hits per game. However, it's not like Halls struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 2.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
