Basketball Game Preview: Newberry Panthers vs. Gainesville Hurricanes

Newberry has won 12 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Gainesville has won 12 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Newberry Panthers will get right back to it and host the Gainesville Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Newberry will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Bradford, who they had gone 1-7 against in their eight prior meetings. Newberry blew past Bradford, posting an 84-49 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Gainesville on Friday. They walked away with a 54-41 victory over Buchholz.
