Gardner-South Wilmington can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Clifton Central Comets 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Gardner-South Wilmington had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-22, 25-19.

Kayla Scheuber paced Gardner-South Wilmington's offense, picking up ten kills. Scheuber got some help from Olivia Siano and her 20 assists. Grace Vitko controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Gardner-South Wilmington's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Clifton Central, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
