Basketball Recap: South Charlotte Piles Up the Points Against NC H

South Charlotte lost to NC H back in February, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Thunder simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Heat 75-41. The Thunder have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 20 points or more this season.

South Charlotte got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brenden LaCroix out in front who went 6-for-8 on his way to 16 points. LaCroix is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 40% in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jack Porter, who shot 50% from the field en route to 14 points in addition to seven assists and three steals.

South Charlotte was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

NC H lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Maxx Perrino, who posted 12 points. Trey Redgate was another key player, putting up nine points.

South Charlotte pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points over those games. As for NC H, their record is now 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Charlotte will host Surry HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for NC H, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Asheboro Hybrid Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Heat will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 64 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
