Volleyball Recap: Lodi Flames vs. West Wolfpack

Lodi waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the West Wolfpack with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Flames have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolfpack, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Lodi was: they took every set by at least 16 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-9, 25-7.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lodi to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mariah Azua, who had five aces. Those five aces gave Azua a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Culler, who had five digs and 12 assists.

Lodi was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're ace total in three consecutive matchups.

Lodi's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-7. As for West, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.

As of now, neither Lodi nor West have any future games scheduled.
