Baseball Game Preview: Seymour Owls vs. Jennings County Panthers

The Seymour Owls will challenge the Jennings County Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Seymour's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Jennings County has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Seymour's offense. They fell just short of Providence by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Owls' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Jennings County came up short against Batesville on Friday and fell 6-3.

Jennings County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Speer, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Jennings County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Seymour, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4.

Seymour beat Jennings County 6-1 in their previous matchup back in April. Do the Owls have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
