Softball Game Preview: Celina Bobcats vs. Brock Eagles

The Celina Bobcats will head out to face off against the Brock Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Celina is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 13-7 margin over McKinney on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Brock put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their undefeated season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Saginaw a 16-0 shutout. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Brock's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-0-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Celina, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-11.

Celina suffered a grim 9-3 defeat to Brock when the teams last played back in February of 2015. Can Celina avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
